This beauty is neither a flagship nor a heavy class luxury liner. A light class frigate, it was meant for mean and dirty missions of get in and get out fast. Extensive stealth systems allow it to enter heavily barricaded enemy territory to perform high-risk rescue missions or borderline suicidal sabotage runs to help give an advantage to the home team. While its physical shielding is rather light, highly reinforced kinetic barriers protect it from an extensive amount of damage. The Lacerta has an overpowered hyperdrive that allows for an incredible speed boost, but if care is not taken, it can overheat to dangerous temperatures and threaten the lives of crewmen in the engineering anex.
To first enter this starship, one must go through a decontamination port before stepping onto the bridge. Straight ahead is a communications hub where destinations can be mapped out and planned on an interactive galaxy map. To the left of the ship's entrance is the cockpit with a pilot and co-pilot seat as well as two safety seats against the wall on either side of the entrance into the cockpit itself. Heading back down the bridge, the ship opens up into a main holding area. In the center is a combat table where battle plans can be forged with crew members. This central hub encourages crewmen to remain closely knit and realize that their lives rely on each other. Teamwork is essential.
Continuing towards the back of the ship from the main holding area, one would come upon the medical bay. Stocked with state of the art equipment, it allows crewmen to be self-sufficient for even major injuries so as to remain in deep space or under deep cover operations without fear of loss of life thanks to lack of supplies. Behind the medical bay is a set of stairs that leads down a level and into engineering. This is where the main mechanics of the ship are held, including the hyperdrive and core processor.
Should one choose to turn either left or right at the medical bay rather than continue towards the back of the ship, they would come across both a starboard and port cargo hold. Traveling back to the main holding area once more, there are dormitories on both starboard and port side with beds enough for a full crew plus a few extra. Through the starboard area is a set of stairs that lead up a level to forward observation. This area serves as both comfort and functional in several ways. It allows enough open space for sparring as well as provides a serene view of the galaxies. Couches - one of the few luxuries aboard the Lacerta - line the walls. There is also one directly in front of the reinforced window of observation.
For the most part, it sacrifices a few comforts to make a functional, streamlined vessel that encourages equality among crewmen. The presiding captain quarters down with his or her men and is thoroughly engrossed in the team.
As for the outside, the wings are double-jointed in a way that allow for better movement than would be possible otherwise. Painted a sleek black and chrome, the only splash of color is an emblem of a lizard emblazoned behind its name along the body of the ship.
