Geminate Jungle This unforgiving tangle of vines and twin trees covers an approximate 3 quarters of Vega's surface area. This, however, isn't just a forest. It only appears to be. In fact, it appears to be... too ordinary. Passing through these woods disorients anyone who isn't a Vegan local. Even natives have needed to develop ways to avoid getting lost. The trees are mere clones of each other, and this challenge proves to be grueling. There are very few completely accurate maps of the planet's Geminate Jungle span, and your cute little compasses will be to no avail in this domain. Travelers have found that tagging the trunks of the trees is the most effective method to carve out a path and find their way back. Proceed with caution. |

Viridian Abyss This is a landmark left by one hell of a meteor. The area's perimeter is an estimated 2 square miles in diameter, clear of foliage and most wildlife excepting Lepidopteran Kites. No one really knows just how deep it is, as few dare to venture into it. Smoke and unsettled ash are peppered and float above the marred terrain. Entering the area alone irritates any set of sensitive lungs. It's called the Viridian Abyss because as one looks down into the deep trench, a viridian hue appears to fill the very bottom. There is a collection of stagnant fluid that isn't believed to be ordinary water due to the abnormal color, and Kites may be seen descending into its depths to lay eggs. Who knows what else is hidden beneath the liquid? Who knows what the liquid itself is? The wise let themselves continue to wonder. |
